RAIZ PROFUNDA

ELEGANCE, OPULENCE, AND EXPRESSION.

Ideal for pairing with aged meats, roast suckling pig, and Iberian pork. It also pairs well with desserts and is a great companion for a long after-dinner conversation.

Elaboration: Manual harvest in small 15-kilogram boxes. A double selection of bunches and berries is carried out on the sorting table. The grapes arrived at the winery under optimal sanitary conditions and with high quality. Cold maceration lasted approximately 5 days and then fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel truncated-cone tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 225-liter French oak barrels with lees in the barrel.

Aging: 24-26 months of aging in medium-grain French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Visual: Intense garnet color, deep, clean, and bright.
Nose: Ripe aromas of black fruits and red plums stand out, along with notes of undergrowth, sweet spices like vanilla, and a subtle toasted touch. Elegant, dense, and carefully concentrated on the nose. Perfect harmony of black cocoa, licorice, wet earth, and balsamic notes, vivid roasted coffee notes, and a surface of cedar wood, toffee, and dark chocolate.
Taste: Intense and long-lasting wine displaying lively tannins characteristic of the gravelly soil on which this vineyard is located. Enveloping red, full of flavors, soft, ripe tannins, and a long, very fruity finish with a pleasant ripeness. A velvety, powerful, and structured finish, broad and with a long, deep aftertaste.

RAIZ DE GUZMÁN RESERVA

ELEGANT, INTENSE, AND COMPLEX.

Red meats and game (duck) accompanied by sauces or a fruit garnish. It also pairs well with white meats, cured meats, and aged and blue cheeses. A perfect ally in traditional Castilian cuisine.

Elaboration: Manual harvest in small 15-kilo boxes with rigorous inspection, bunch by bunch, on a sorting table. Subsequent selection of loose grapes. The grapes arrived at the winery under optimal sanitary conditions and of high quality. Cold maceration lasted approximately 5 days, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel truncated-cone tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 500-liter French oak barrels with lees worked in the barrel.

Aging: 18-20 months of aging in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Visual: Garnet red, clear, and deep-bodied.
Nose: Very clear and intensely aromatic, with a predominance of ripe red fruit, such as black plum and cherry, with small hints of scrubland and balsamic notes, finishing with nuances contributed by the barrel, mainly spices, cocoa, and tobacco leaf.
Taste: Structured, creamy, and very balanced, velvety, intense, savory, and rounded, with lively, enveloping tannins and infinite length.

RAIZ DE GUZMÁN CRIANZA

ELEGANCE AND SWEETNESS TO EVERYONE'S TASTE.

Ideal with all types of meats, grilled meats, roasted suckling lamb, stews, casseroles, and cured cheeses. A Ribera del Duero worthy of preserving your best moments around the table, thanks to its versatility, it can be enjoyed in a wide range of cuisines.

Elaboration: Manual harvest in small 15-kilogram boxes with rigorous inspection bunch by bunch on a sorting table. The grapes arrived at the winery under optimal sanitary conditions and of high quality. Cold maceration lasted approximately 5 days, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel truncated-cone tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 150 HI wooden foudres.
Aging: 12-14 months of aging in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Visual: Garnet red with a youthful, intense, and bright rim.
Aroma: Elegant sensations: pleasant, clean, intense, and complex on the nose. Aromas of balsamic, violets, leafy leaves, cigar box, and licorice. The spices and roasted notes typical of its French oak ageing add richness, volume, and complexity to the wine. The predominant varietal intensity, along with the rest of the aromatic notes described above, results in a serious, very complete, and very Root wine.
Taste: A great personality upon tasting. Freshness, tension, without excessive structure or density, yet sweet at the same time, a balance of components that make this a very drinkable wine, where spices, balsamic notes, and licorice root return to the palate.
